He had her, he lost her…and he’ll do anything to win her back.

Powerful, brilliant, and ambitious, Dominic Davenport clawed his way up from nothing to become the King of Wall Street.
He has everything—a beautiful home, a beautiful wife, and more money than he could spend in a lifetime. But no matter how much he accumulates, he’s never satisfied.
In his endless quest for more, he drives away the only person who saw him as enough.
It isn’t until she’s gone that he realizes there may be more to life than riches and glory…but by then, it may be too late.

***

Kind, intelligent, and thoughtful, Alessandra Davenport has played the role of trophy wife for years.
She stood by her husband while he built an empire, but now that they’ve reached the top, she realizes he’s no longer the man she fell for.
When it becomes clear that she’ll always come second to his work, she finally takes charge of her life and puts herself first—even if it means leaving the only man she’s ever loved.
But what she didn’t count on was his refusal to let her go…or for him to fight for their marriage, no matter what it takes.

King of Greed is a steamy marriage in trouble/second chance romance. It’s book three in the Kings of Sin series but can be read as a standalone.

Would've given 3.5 stars but there wasn't an option so 3...all of it for the display of emotional complicacy and the message of communicating, being self aware, not taking care for granted and righting the wrongs were really good. However, the writing felt a little too simple and sometimes repetitive for my taste.

I very much liked the he book. It has enough amount of groevlling for a ten years of marriage and where they love each other so deeply. Because if she hadn’t accepted him after so many months of redemption it would have soured their relationship. And also he learned from the situation.

This book was so over hyped that it didn't live up to its expectations. There wasn't enough grovelling for me personally and i hated how easily she took him back. Disappointed, as I expected more.

Not bad actually. but then again I'm not really a fan of second chance romance 💀the way people hyped this up I thought the guy was a serial cheater and a pathological liar, turns out he's just really neglectful and has his priorities mixed up. Im glad in the entirety of their marriage, they never had children 'cause this would've been ugly lol It's good ig

It wasn't all bad, but it wasn't good. disappointed, expected more. I couldn't feel the chemistry between the characters.

I want to say that I completely agree with the comment below. I've been waiting for this book since April and all the videos on tiktok and other social networks and everyone presented it as something great and super sad. To be honest, the first chapters were really quite sad for me, but not so much after that. I wouldn't cry like everyone else says. Personally, I couldn't feel the chemistry between the two of them (if that's even possible in a book lol), but everything was kind of dry to me both before and after the marriage. To be honest, I saw Alexandra holding her own and looking for herself, but to be honest, she was a little weak-willed, giving in to her desire for him almost constantly, and I didn't feel that much resistance from her. Maybe it's normal after 11 years of marriage and living with the same person, but I liked how ready she was at first, and then something started to loosen up. I'm sorry, but I think he should have been pushed a lot more and accordingly we should have seen more persecution from Dom's side as well. I don't know, I read it easily, it's a quick read, but something didn't reach me, maybe I was expecting too much after everything I've seen about this book and to be honest, I think it's pretty hyped. For me, the best book was definitely the first one about Dante and Vivian, I felt absolutely everything there, at least for now it is the first in my ranking of Anna, we will see the next books in the series...

I've to say the way this book was being hyped before its release on tiktok i was excited to read it. The story was well written and i dont have much to complain about. But for some reason i wasn't satisfied. I couldn't connect to the love between them. Maybe i wanted more flashbacks, the backstory of how they fell in love in and got married in more details than just few paragraphs here and there idk. I couldn't find a reason to root for them other than the fact that they used to be in love and married and i like happy endings. The groveling was on point and Dom went all out. But nonetheless a sweet story but for me Dante and Vivian still win in this series so far.
